Mt. Phongun Razi – Towering 11920 ft ,3635 m above sea level is the most appropriate top scale among the many highlights of the region.Generally covered with snow from November to May is about 85 km northwest near Putao Myanmar – Indian border. The remoteness and difficult access to the region to help preserve the purity of the original’s forests and ecosystems that offer unique opportunities for today’s professionals in the field of zoology, botany, forest ,environmental protection, conservation and ecology, as well as eco-tourists rock and mountain climbers who prefer call for testing back- packing trip in the mountain fastness routine attractions in accessible urban centers.

Day 01- Arrival, Putao
Upon arrival at Putao airport you will be met by Putao guest house. Representative and transferred to your guest house. Putao, lies in a flat valley, jumping-off point for trekkers who want to explore the region’s deep forests, wildlife sanctuaries and snow-capped mountains etc. After a brief fresh up and light lunch take a walk around Putao for the orientation. Dinner and overnight at guest house.
Day 02 – Putao – Shangaung – Wasandum (jeep/trek)
Breakfast and depart by jeep/truck to upper Shangaung (17 km, approx one hour) on a rugged road. Shangaung has two separate villages and inhabitant of both Lisu and Rawan tribes. Your adventure starts as we get off the jeep and start trek to Wasandum (20 km, approx 6 hours) trek through Mt. Shangaung at 4468 ft, 1362 meters. Pack lunch on the way and continue trek to Wasandum. First 10 km will be straight up along the trail winding up to the top of Mt. Shangaung from then trail goes all the way down to Wasandum. This will be the testing journey for you as you have to ascend from 1060 meters up to 1362 meters and then descend back to 860 meters. Wasandum is a small Rawan village situates by Namro creek. Check in at guest house and for those who wish to wash up may go to Namro creek to do so with crystal clean water. Dinner and overnight at Wasandum in dormitory style.
Day 03 – Wasandum – Awadum – Kalang – Ziyadum (trek)
Breakfast and leave the village for today’s destination in Ziyadum , despite the relatively flat land with a few ups and downs . In the first cross Namrata creek Awadum (7.4 km, about 3 hours) . Awadum is inhabited predominantly Lisa and separated into two large paddy field. Here we go suspension bridge that spans the creek Namlang Kalango (4.8 km, about one hour and thirty minutes). Lunch stop and continue the path to Ziyadum ( 6.4 km , about 2 hours) through dense coniferous forests . Ziyadum , situate at an altitude of 3440 ft , 1048 m is the most northwestern and last frontier village in Putao region , mainly residents are Rawan tribe . It is recommended to visit Ziya creek for a fantastic view of the sunset with a blazing snow Mountains in the west to spark a steady flowing Ziya creek. Dinner and overnight in Ziyadum guesthouse in dormitory style.
Day 04 – Ziyadum – Chaungsone – Thitpingyi (trek)
Breakfast and continue trek to Chaungsone (9.6 km, about 3 hours) and the human inhabitant behind. Initially, we go Phangran stream of suspension bridge and trek through evergreen forests with a slight ups and downs. Lunch stop and continue trek through another suspension bridge spans the creek and Namya continues steep uphill trek on mule track until you get to a reduction Thitpingyi camp, situate at 4800 ft, 1460 m above sea level (3.2 km, about 2 hours). This will be your first night of wildness camping. Dinner and overnight at the camp
Day 05 – Lower Thitpingyi – Upper Thitpingyi – Khantautmyit (trek)
Breakfast and continue trek up the hill to the top Thitpingyi camp (2.5 km, about one hour ) along a mule trek . From there take a trip to Khantautmyit camp , situate 8500 ft , 2575 m above sea level (4.8 km, about 6 hours) . After a few kilometers we trek on mule trek we get ourselves into the jungle trek passes through deep ups and down a narrow arm of the smaller reef. Trekking route passes through different types of forest and bird life as it passes through the evergreen forest on the hills of pine and now into moist upper deciduous forest. You will notice Rhododendron flowers in their flowers and trees, which have a strong moss on them . Khantautmyit is one of the most beautiful places that have a large tree with colorful Rhododendron bushes around. Dinner and overnight at the camp Khantautmyit .
Day 06 – Khantautmyit – Snow line (trek)
Breakfast and continue trek to snow line altitude of about 10000 ft , 3,050 meters (6.4 km, about 3-4 hours ) trek depends on camp site . Trek route will be challenging with a narrow line but still beautiful pine elevation with moist upper deciduous forest filled Rhododendron make impressive scenery. There are three different camps in the snow line and find the right place to camp by snowfall. We will have our dinner and overnight at the camp. Tonight, you have to prepare for cold weather as temperatures can be freezing at night. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 07 – Snow line – Mt. Phongun summit – Khantautmyit (trek)
Breakfast and trek to the summit of Mt. Phongun at 11920 ft, 3635 m . Distance is it a ittle over 3 km, but depending on snow conditions, it could take us somewhere between 3-7 hours. The time you spend on the summit will depend on weather conditions. If the weather is clear, it is possible to experience the spectacular views of the entire wheel and see what regards the countries of India, Assam to the west. Lunch stop at the camp and continue their journey back to Khantautmyit camp. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 08 – Khantautmyit – Thitpingyi (trek)
Breakfast and relax through the morning admiring the fantastic surroundings. After an early lunch trek back to camp Thitpingyi winding trek through the highs and lows with changing topography, flora and fauna. Trek is quite simple, as we primarily on mule trek. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 09- Thitpingyi – Chaungzone – Ziyadum (trek)
Breakfast and trek into Ziyadum passing Chaungsone camp through nice and easy downhill on mule trek. After cross Namya creek by a suspension bridge to get to the dense coniferous forest and trail passes along a winding creek Phangran . Hot shower and a warm bed will all average out the greatest pleasure and comfort after a rough night camping in the jungle. Relax throughout the afternoon and have dinner celebrating over the fire and enjoy a comfortable night. Overnight in Ziyadum house.
Day 10 – Ziyadum – Wasandum (trek)
Enjoy another lazy morning after an early farewell lunch with the locals and get back to his destination , today Awadum crossing suspension bridges and roads through the beautiful evergreen . Dinner and overnight at the guesthouse Wasandum .
Day 11- Wasundum – Shangaung – Putao (trek/jeep)
After leaving the desert behind and return to the clutches of human civilization . Once we start demanding trek goes uphill on the plateau of Mt. Shangaung , before continuing downhill quickly to Shangaung where our jeep meets us and takes us back to Putao . Wrap lunch on the way. Enjoy a farewell dinner with our other group members , including leaders , porters to commemorate the experience that we shared last week in this unique part of the world . Overnight in Putao house.
Day 12 – Departure
Breakfast and visit the attractive Putao market for last- minute shopping , etc. Later transfer to the airport for your onward departure to conclude this unique experience .
